✓ COPPA Compliant

What is COPPA?

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is a United States federal law designed to protect the privacy of children under 13 years of age. StreakFam is committed to full compliance with COPPA requirements.

Key Points for Parents

  • Only parents/guardians can create accounts
  • Children never interact directly with StreakFam's servers
  • We collect minimal data about children (first name only)
  • No advertising or third-party tracking of children
  • Parents have full control over all child data

How StreakFam Protects Children

Parent-Controlled Accounts

StreakFam requires parental consent by design. Only adults (18+) can create accounts, and all child profiles are created and managed exclusively by verified parent accounts. Children do not have their own login credentials.

Minimal Data Collection

For children, we only collect:

  • First name: For display purposes within the family
  • Quest completion data: Tasks marked as done
  • Token balances: Earned and spent tokens
  • Streak information: Consecutive days of goal completion

We do NOT collect: email addresses, phone numbers, photos, location data, or any other personally identifiable information from children.

No Direct Communication with Children

StreakFam does not communicate directly with children. All notifications, emails, and communications are sent only to parent email addresses.

No Advertising

StreakFam does not display advertisements to any users, including children. We do not share any data with advertisers or ad networks.

Parental Rights

As a parent using StreakFam, you have the right to:

  • Review all information collected about your children
  • Delete your children's data at any time
  • Refuse further collection of your children's information
  • Export all family data

Data Security

We protect children's data using the same security measures as all user data:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure database storage with access controls
  • Regular security audits
  • No sharing of data with third parties (except payment processing)
